Does this coat/cardigan thingy look as if it's too small?

It's a coatigan I think!

Present from dh and he bought XS but I'd normally buy S.

It only has one fastening at the top. I'm just worried that it doesn't meet down the front unless I pull it together.

Should it look looser?

No it's doesn't feel tight on chest or arms but I wondered if it should look more 'oversized'

Oh and it looks fine size wise, although will you want to wear it with thicker tops underneath when Autumn rocks up? If so, try again with a jumper and see if it feels ok.

Oh, I tried that on in M&S yesterday. I didn't buy it because I'm not keen on 3/4 sleeves on coats - too draughty! But I think that's how it's meant to sit - was the same on me. I'd have had it with longer sleeves.

I think it looks like it shrunk in the washing and I would want to try the next size up myself to make sure - could you maybe go and do that?
