Is this a good look size 14?

Not sure if this would like right but am thinking skinny jeans with a longline vest top with a cardigan about waist length over the top.

I never think it looks right when your top has something hanging out underneath. In other words would it look odd with the vest being longer than the cardigan (or am I hopelessly old fashioned)?

I see younger people wearing this type of outfit but at 63 am I going to look silly?

No you'll be fine, shoulders back and a big confident smile off you go

scurryfunge · 01/08/2016 19:09

No, you won't look silly if you like it and feel comfortable. Doesn't really matter about anyone else. I'm old enough to not give a hoot about what others think.

Wear it. That's a very flattering look.

I find it's a good way to wear skinnies as the shorter length top draws the eye away from my thighs and up towards my waist. 59.

Flo that is a great way of looking at it as my waist is my best part and my thighs are the worst. I think I will try it and just bought a Red Herring 3/4 sleeve cardi the other day in black ( a bit safe) but may try experimenting with other colours.

I got a V neck as I think the higher round neck can sometimes fall open and look scruffy.

Thanks for all the positive votes, am feeling a bit excited about this new look I am going to try (how sad am I)?

It's not sad at all - I really like trying out new looks and figuring out how to make them work for me. Fashion should be fun!
