Forecast is for about 23 degrees, with some chance of rain. Is this jeans weather, or summer dress weather? I haven't got a clue!

I do have a light (ugly) raincoat.

So far I've got -
chino things, t-shirt and jersey jacket to travel in
3 summer dresses
tube skirt and a couple of t-shirts
one cardigan

Do I need to replace a dress with jeans? Arghhh!

I'm going for 4 days to Belfast in 2 weeks and expecting similar weather. I will be taking:

Slightly cropped skinny jeans
Black slightly cropped skinny jeans
Black and white patterned floaty trousers
4 t shirts
Couple of vests
Couple of dressy tops
Thin light hoody
Foldaway Fat Face mac

That said I am not a dress person. My legs rub together when walking a long way! Shoes will be one pair of Nikes and a pair of black sandals.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 31/07/2016 15:47

My shoes are exactly the same as yours! Black NIkes and black sandals.

I like summer dresses, but might swap one of them for a pair of skinnies. Thanks.

Won't need anything dressy - I will just wear black and stick a bangle/earrings on!

Where I live, it's been between 22-26 degrees for the past couple of months and I find it way too chilly to wear little summer dresses. Maybe shirt dresses with long sleeves would work.

1 x chinos
1 x jeans
1 x tube skirt
1 x dress
4 x tshirt
1 x light jumper/cardigan
1 x jacket
2 x pair shoes.

I'd add another cardigan and a summer cotton scarf ( to be swathed artistically around neck) to keep you warm in the evenings and continue with the skirts and summer dresses. We get so little chance to wear them !

Jeans are always easy, but it's grim to be wearing them in August when we're stuck with them all the rest of the year 🙄

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 31/07/2016 17:12

Thanks.

Salty - that's my thinking. I haven't been wearing jeans much in the UK recently, so don't really want to have to take them on holiday! Have mostly been wearing a sleeveless dress plus a cotton cardigan.

I'll deffo add another cardigan, and I've already got a light scarf ready, as I like to have one on the plane.

Jamie - my list is looking similar to yours now:

1 x chinos plus 1 t-shirt plus 1 jacket plus light scarf plus trainers = travel
1 x jeans (or maybe another dress - still haven't decided)
1 x tube skirt
1 x sundress
1 x maxi dress
3 x tshirts
1 x light cardigan
1 x pair sandals

Ooh - just remembered that I have a pair of printed cotton cigarette trousers. Maybe those instead of jeans? Decisions, decisions!

City = shops.

If you pack the wrong thing you'll have to go shopping :)

candykane25 · 31/07/2016 17:20

What I found helpful when packing recent was rolling my outfits - so shorts and top rolling up together, dress and cardy rolled up together. That way you can see how many days you've got covered and if you take 7 outfits for 5 days you've got options depending on the weather.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 31/07/2016 17:23

Candykane - This is very true.
