GHD curling wand

How does everybody feel about the GHD curling wands? I have poker straight hair, and I'm looking for a wide barreled curling wand (not tongs), and I'm currently dithering between the ghd classic wave and creative curl. Anyone used either? Or would anyone like to throw in a curveball?

My longest lasting curls though are with a GHD straightener!

I read so many bad reviews of curls dropping out with the GHDs that I've just bought the (excellent) Cloud 9 original wand instead. The curls do drop into waves on day 2 though. The only one I've found that keeps curls in for up to 3 days is the Chopstick Styler by Lee Stafford but that does small ringlets.
