My nails are in bits. I'm baffled by all the products available so can anyone recommend something?

Rimmel nail rescue has worked wonders for my nails. I use it on its own but also as both a base and top coat if using coloured polish.

Opi nail envy is my favourite

EveryoneElsesMumSaidYes · 28/07/2016 21:16

I love Nail Envy too, it's done wonders for my nails

Paulat2112 · 28/07/2016 21:19

Oh and I always get it from QVC! They always have great offers on.

Wolfiefan · 28/07/2016 21:20

Mavala. Scary stuff. Contains formaldehyde! Only paint on very tip of your nails.

Nail envy improved the strength of mine but they still peeled.
Nailtiques formula 2 totally transformed them!

ohidoliketobe · 28/07/2016 21:43

Dr Lewis renunail works for me

I was such an awful nail bitter!

I tried everything to get them growing after stopping :(

When I started TTC I started folic acid.. I'm now on all manner of supplements but my nails went nuts after starting taking that little tablet once a day

annielostit · 29/07/2016 10:03

I tried a couple of the above. The only thing that worked is getting a cuticle & shape, no polish & leaving all the products off. Have been nail polish free for 6 weeks and my nails have never been longer.or stronger.Smile

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 29/07/2016 16:51

yes agree leave them natural but rub in almond oil every night for a few weeks. take sea kelp tablets too for strength and growth.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 29/07/2016 16:54

Mavala- 2 weeks and your nails will be fine! I try not to read what's in it! You only paint it on once a week.

EveryoneElsesMumSaidYes · 29/07/2016 21:51

YY to almond oil, any kind of vitamin E oil is great for nails. Rub it into your cuticles before you go to bed and it will work wonders. Almond oil is great as a facial cleanser and hot oil treatment for hair too Star

Healthy Hoof from Amazon. Amazing stuff.

BestIsWest · 29/07/2016 22:59

Superdrug 3 in one Base coat, ridge filler and growth enhancer. It's the best thing I've found for min which split and peel given the least chance. Much better than more expensive ones.

Fluffycloudland77 · 30/07/2016 13:13

Solar oil applied daily. You can buy it in salons.

OurBlanche · 30/07/2016 13:28

I have soft bendy nails and Mavala has been great... scary, but great.

I currently have Seal My Nails, the Bettaware catalogue lady said it would be great and I have to admit it really is! It is a bit glossy, doesn't chip - it does sort of flake, but I don't reapply it for about a week so it isn't all that bad. It is hard to explain but it isn't really like a varnish but it does make a big difference to my nails, so much so I may not have another gel varnish (which I was having so I could grow my nails without them breaking), it is tuolene free. I use it on bare nails but apparently it works well as a top coat too!

Oh, and it costs less than a fiver Smile

Vaseline rubbed in at bedtime. Tiny amount needed.

Botanicbaby · 30/07/2016 14:21

Nothing has worked for me & I have soft nails that break easily. I've tried everything.

Some products help but only very temporarily then it's back to usual Sad

SunflowersAndTulips · 30/07/2016 22:15

Nailtiques Formula 2. Can buy it on amazon. Very top of my list for most effective beauty product. Everyone I've recommended it to is in agreement!
