How to tone down a red face?

My face has always had a high colour, and I struggle to stop it shining through my makeup.
It doesn't help that I don't really wear a great deal, and that I actively avoid lipstick incase it just shows up my red face.

I can remember the green colour correcting primer of the 90s but is there a good modern day equivalent?

I should say I usually use Laura geller baked foundation which isn't complete coverage.

There's loads of green primers on the market now. Not sure which ones are best but you've got options from budget to pricey.

Avon do a green colour corrector. I've not tried it though, despite being ruddy of face myself.

Clinique do a whole redness solutions range. The daily protective vase with SPF 15 is particularly good if your not one for wearing loads of make up.
