Striped trousers

What do you all think of those vertically striped trousers that seem to be in a lot of shops at the moment ? I keep thinking of getting a pair but am short and wide at the legs and just not sure if they're right fo my shape . Saw a girl tonight with a pair on and they did look good on her .

They might be ok on someone tall and leggy.

Yes that's what I am thinking I would look like ! Remember wearing a pair of pinstripes to school once and my mate (!) started singing Bananas in Pyjamas to me think this is why I'm putting off buying a pair .
