Does anyone have any 'inside' information on MB products?
I admit I like the shower stuff but reading the labels they seem chock full of chemicals and hardly anything remotely resembling the fragrance- eg the Rhubarb and Rose contains some rose, lemon and honeysuckle but that's it- the rest are chemicals.

I also use REN shower gel which is supposedly free from 'nasties' although something I read said it was still smoke and mirrors and not as 'pure' as they try to make out.

MB is terribly pricey and although the smells are nice, is it style over substance?

I've done the whole ' ultra' clean ' free from' beauty product thing a couple of times now.
My opinion now , is that unless you are allergic to anything mainstream - go ahead and use what you like. I'm someone who has used shampoo that had only four ingredients...
Some natural and organic products can be just as bad for your skin as SLS free / paraben free.
Oh, yes, l also went through a period of washing my hair with a special kind of mud!
Milton Brown are not the most natural, but it isn't ( in my opinion) anything to worry about.

I think MB stuff is a complete rip off. Waitrose stock some nice organic ranges.

What concerns you the most?

I buy one scent of molten brown as I love it, and dh likes the peppercorn one. It's the only shower gel I've used that I can still smell on me after work. Probably means it's chock full of chemicals but it cleans me and smells nice

The bottles are pricey but they last. I alternate showers between this and San ex.

I've tried supermarket own ones and some are good but others blob out like jelly and don't lather - they just sort of flop out of my hand I a gelatinous lump.

I'm not looking for anything that is organic, just smells nice. So sorry if there was any confusion. I'm just wondering if MB is really value for money though and whether £20 for shower wash is stupid. I only use it when other people buy it for me:) I alternate between MB, Ren and Sanctuary.

If you want my honest opinion then, l'd spend extra on a nice body cream. At least it is something to rub in , instead of down the drain!😂

I suppose I'm being cynical and thinking the fact that have a fancy shop in Regent St and elsewhere, nice packaging and so forth, means they can charge silly prices for something that is really no different from Baylis and Harding for £2!

I'm the other way. I love Neutrogena body lotion at £5 and am happy to slather that on by the gallon but like a nice fragranced shower gel. I've used REN for yonks but fancied a change .

No, I know you don't want organic - but the organic stuff in Waitrose smells lovely and is way better value than MB.

I think MB is a triumph of branding over product quality. I have no idea how they are able to charge so much for such average products.

Definitely not worth it imo.

If I'm going to splurge on stuff that's going to go the drain it will be on Aromatherapy Associates bath oils. At least you get to luxuriate in them for a while.

which ones from Waitrose do you mean Remus?

Probably their cheapo own brand ones. They do very Molton Brown esque varieties.

Cheapo Waitrose ones not organic, but the brown one is nice. The Organic Surge stuff is nice.

Senspa stuff is nice too.
