Help with Boden ruched dress fit

Hi, not sure whether to size up or not in these dresses. Normally I am a Boden 14 long. However, sometimes need to size up. I have the Aurelia Ottoman in a 16 for example. Any thoughts? I know I can try and send back but at the moment I have over £600 in the basket and I'm afraid that won't do .

I thought the fit was quite big/true to size but had to send mine back because the long length was too short. I'm 5'9''. I wanted it to be the same length as it was on the model.

I found it very snug. Though flattering. Neck line very low in the standard fit. And not much better in the petite (in petite the arm holes were too snug: would get sweat marks). I'm 5ft 2 and normally size 8 in Boden (and in m&s, 10 anywhere else). Would have worn a 10 if it were not for the other fit issues.

I have it in 10 and it fits nicely but doesn't look sprayed on. I usually wear 6-8 elsewhere but have to size up in Boden as they don't cut for my broad shoulders.

I tried it on in my usual size, I'd say it was on the snug side.

I'm wearing the plum one now with the boatneck neckline! I would normally order an 8 in Boden jersey dresses but with this one being such a neat fit I opted for a 10 so it doesn't look sprayed on. Regular length, I'm 5 foot 5 and it's just above my knee.

Judging by the feedback above, go a size up!

I needed to go a size up, my usual size fitted fine, but as a PP said it looked sprayed on almost and although it didn't look bad, I'm not comfortable wearing such a tight fit!

I'm usually a 10 in everything from Boden, but the 10 rushed dress was too fitted. 12 is perfect. I got regular length and am 5'7"

Size up. I bought a 12 and I am a classicBoden 12.

Let's just say that the diet will have to continue if I want to wear it this Autumn.

Its snug. I'm usually OK in a Boden 14 and I needed a 16. great dress.

Agree that it's snug - I'm a Boden 12 and have the ruched dress (and ruched top) in a 14. It's a great dress!

Just looked at this and now I want it badly! Anyone know a Boden code at the moment?

I ordered a 12 long in the green - normally a 12 in Boden and 5'6'. It fits well, although initially I thought it might be too clingy which isn't my usual style. Not a dress to wear out for a big meal though!

Going against the grain OP. I bought a petite size 8 and suggest it's true to size all over. Low cut on the boob though.

You mean the one with the boat neckline and not the Ruched Waist one with 3/4 sleeves? I think there is some confusion here as mine has a high neckline- no boobs on show! it only comes in navy, plum, green and navy /white stripe.

I've got the navy in a 10. I'm a 30D bust and 36 hips. I can sometimes wear and 8 in Boden but not in this dress- it's too clingy.

I've not worn it yet and TBH am a bit disappointed. It's double layer fabric and I have found the weather either too hot for it, or too cold.

It's not showing on their website at all- only the one that is sleeveless and has a scooped low neck. There is the Rita ruched dress but that's only available in some odd sizes and is on the clearance part of the site.

Yeah. I could only access through my order. Was navy in size 20 left.

For some reason the ruched detail dress disappeared from the sight while there was still a lot of stock. I phoned up and got 2 more when they were £29. I also think TTS

Are they not a bit sweat inducing, being manmade fibres?
