Just discovered DD3 has helped herself to Chanel nail polishes and a lipstick. Anyone else have this problem ? She has lots and I mean lots of her own and will literally apply the nail polish have a look at it dry and then wipe it off and start again. It drives me insane !

I'd get a lock for my bedroom door!!

I would come down hard on behaviour like this but I appreciate I am stricter than a lot of people. No way would I allow anyone to use my makeup, including my daughter! When she has a job she can buy her own Chanel!

Yes always, mascara, hair combs, clothing, socks even knickers. They no longer live here but if they visit. My Stuff disappears grrrr

Joking aside I'm not bloody impressed. I don't mind them borrowing but I do think they should put back otherwise I will have to go hardline on them which is a shame

Er no. My 18 yr old DS took my eyeliner and was for ages using my Armani Diamonds - he thought it was the men's one, my black nail varnish.. All my hair products, hairspray and serums, tooth whitening strips and moisturiser. Yes really. I'm just glad he hasn't found a use for my Tampax yet.

I walked in to the bathroom to see my then 18 year old daughter liberally applying my lovely Fenjal shower mousse to her legs to use as shaving foam.......she used HALF A BOTTLE!!
I can laugh about it now that she moved out to go to uni

Mine isn't bad to be fair. She borrows stuff like straighteners and babyliss BH. I don't mind that, because it was probably me at some point who said that it was daft to have duplicates of all those things - what I do mind is that she leaves them in her room, so I need to enter the the Room of Doom to retrieve them. But on the plus side we have similar colouring and she buys much nicer make up than me, and she's very generous with it.
