Perfume for 13 year old - suggestions please

My (rather unsophisticated) goddaughter has asked for perfume for her birthday. I love her very much, so I don't categorise being young for her age as a bad thing!

What would you suggest as something summery and fresh?

How about one of the Escada scents? Teen friendly but still glam, gorgeous packaging, light but sweet and fruity. They usually release a new scent every summer.

I love Katy Perry Purr. The bottle is a purple car and it's a sweet scent but not sickly

My DD14 loves the Ariana Grande perfume....

Anais anais. Classic and not overpowering, but not as sickly sweet as the modern slebridee perfumes

My teenage DDs like the scent from Victoria's Secret, I think it's called Pink?

For this age group, the Body Shop perfumes like the Rose or Cherry Blossom are nice and they do gift sets with matching shower gels etc.

Personally I would go for Anais Anais, or anything by Cacherel, or something from the Library Of Fragrance, they do fruity ones or something like Marshmallow.

Sarah Jessica Parker "Lovely" is perhaps a good choice, this smells very nice but not necessarily an "adult" scent.

I don't think "grown up" perfumes should be worn at 13, classic scents like Chanel are for older teenagers.

My 13 year old dd and her friends like Ariana Grande perfume. I recently bought her Ghost Girl which smells gorgeous too.

The Britney Spears perfumes are surprisingly nice as well, actually, and not too adult.

DKNY Be delicious is quite a fresh fruity everyday fragrance that I think suits all ages.

Came on to second Ghost Girl, lovely.

My 15 year old loves the Hollister sprays and perfumes.

I love Britney Spears Circus Fantasy. Get loads of compliments and it's only £5.99 in B&M.

Lacoste touch of pink

Zara and Next both have some nice ones.

Vera Wang Lovestruck is lovely. You can get it in Home Bargains or B&M for about 15 quid.

A sweet and unsophisticated orange scent. I can imagine a young teen liking it.

Or there's Miss Dior and Vera Wang's Princess. They're both aimed at teens.

Zara does one called Paris (in the kids section) and it's gorgeous. My dd is nearly 12 and loves pure grace perfume by Philosophy - you can get her the whole bubble bath / body cream range to go with it too....

Ooh yeah, check out the Philosophy scents as Myfriends suggested, there are some gorgeous ones. They smell delicious but not grown up or sophisticated.

If she is into designer fragrances, Daisy from Marc Jacobs might be a good choice. It's a light and bright scent and the flower bottle is also beautiful.

I second the Britney Spears range .

Next do some nice ones - I like Just Pink

Sunflowers by (I think) by Elizabeth Arsen is nice and light .
