Try Urban decay 24/7 Glide on eye pencil. They have over 41 different shades, last long and are high pigmented.

I've got a Laura Mercier one in Stone Slate, which is sort of a browny/grey/khaki/slightly gold shimmery colour. It is very versatile because it isn't really any one colour and it's nice and smudgy.

I've also got a Chantecaille one in Geode, which is more taupey/bronze and a bit less grey.

I always used Body Shop's taupe
