Plastic surgery

Hello everyone,

Can I ask if anyone has had minor plastic surgery on their face and if so, are you happy with the result and would you be willing to recommend a surgeon?

I had an accident two months ago, I passed out and split my lip open from lip to mouth. It was restitched at a&e by max/fact department and whilst it's quite a good job I am still conscious of the scar. It looks like I have a repaired harelip.

Please feel free to private message me if you have any recommendations and would like to tell me of your experiences. I'm in London.

Many thanks x

I would give it time if it's only the scar you are concerned about, youll be amazed at how they fade and you're only 2 months in. Have you researched Heal gel or similar which can help?

You can't really repair a scar- in fact opening it up will run the risk of making it worse. have you tried Bio Oil or Vitamin E on it?

Thank you for getting back to me. I have used scar repair cream from Boots which has really helped with the redness, but sadly you can still really see the split from nose to lip although it's pale.

I guess i'll keep applying repair cream and sunblock and hope for the best.

Hi OP. I work with a fantastic plastic surgeon, she specialises in head and neck surgery and her attention to detail is second to none. She has a few private hospitals that she works in just outside of London in Hertfordshire and Essex. I really do recommend her. Her name is Kaliroi Tzafetta if you want to research further.
