Make up Brushes

I've recently bought some lovely Bare Minerals Powder foundation which I fell in love with at the make-up counter. The colour and finish were just what I was after. However, now I have it at home, I realised that none of my brushes seem to apply it properly. I just can't seem to blend it on and I think I'm probably using too big/loose a brush?? My brush collection is a bit sparse anyway so I really need advice on what I should be using to apply this make up!

You need a kabuki brush to buff the mineral power on.

Thank you Jackie, just googled and found lots of Kabuki brushes out there. (Never heard of these before!)
