Do I need to be slender (I'm not!!) for this dress?

Needing new dresses for holiday. I'm looking for cotton and comfy but I do have SOME pride. I'm a 36JJ and need a size 18-20 in a dress to accommodate the norks. I usually do separates or wrap dresses but can't bear a lot of bumfle round my waist when it's hot, so I will need to buy for the boobs. I'm 47 and of middle aged shaping and I tried this in navy and the Ivory 3 stripe. I kept the navy as the three stripes cut in at the wrong places on me. I'm 5 ft 3 though so it maybe designed for someone taller. It's a thickish slub cotton and a relaxed fit. You can see my (ample) tummy in mine if you were to look closely but it's not too clingy!

I think its lovely! Im a size 16 32k boobs and have something similar and always feel smoking hot in it and so comfortable! I wear big knickers to stop the tummy wobble! Not spanx just full briefs x

My Boden order has just arrived and I'm pleasantly surprised by those cotton colour block dresses. I ordered both styles planning to keep only one, but I think I might hang onto them both. The three colour way one gives the effect of a waist, just because of where the seam sits, and the denim one is comfy without being too tent like. I'm glad I didn't take Boden's size recommendation though - they suggested 18R and I bought 20L, and I certainly need the boob space and the length. They are loose through the waist and hips, but not excessively so. I just hope they don't shrink in the wash. The Miranda dress is a disappointment though, it's going back.
