Bra intervention - please help

I've never been big of bust but with the right bra could at least look like I have something up top pre DS. Now I feel like a boy.

A couple of years ago bra intervention put me at a 30b. Bought a few bras and have worn them to death. Ordered some more and it's bad. Under arm fat, barely fill it, I cried, & yes I scooped. I'm going shopping again at lunchtime to try some on but could do with some guidance. Measure 39/33, please help me.

Ok so 33 under, 39 over, or is the 39 a typo?

Ok 29 and 33 would be a start point of a 28d/dd or a 30c/d.

The underarm fat combined with not filling suggests to me you're probably needing something with wider wires, probably in a half cup style so it doesn't gape at the top. Something along the lines of Freya patsy, Bravissimo own brand half cups, cleo maddie, tutti Rouge, curvy Kate ritzy. The underarm bulge is breast and does belong in the cup but if the cups are too marrow it just won't go in.

Thanks will have a look at those. I miss being a 'normal high st size' and being able to daily buy a reasonable price bra!

I feel your pain on that front, most of my bras are custom ordered from Poland! It makes such a difference though, I'm sure M and S would try to flog you a 34aa or something which would be so unflattering and unsupportive

Secret I'm the same. I need really wide wires to fit everything in but then I struggle to fill any cups. My boobs must be really wide but very shallow in depth. So they don't look big, but the only decent fitting bra I have is a 32DD. I've been living in maternity or nursing bras for most of past 5 years so only getting back into 'nice' bras now.

Statistically I've seen Mimi Holliday bras recommended on here before for shallow breasts and they have a great sale on at the minute. Do you have any idea how they fit eg wide or narrow wires, particular styles with shallow cups etc. Online ordering is so hit and miss but I'd love to treat myself.

I don't know mini that well but my understanding is they're very wide and shallow. Tutti Rouge do some half cups and balconettes that have a similar look and they're super wide and shallow too.

Been to avenue for a fitting and they have said 30b and underarm fat is normal!

However debenhams stock Freya and sometimes curvy Kate. Their own brand can be wide too, the gorgeous range.

Mimi Holliday cups are wide and shallow, yes. I LOVE them, though the balconette styles don't fit me as well as the "super plunge" and "moulded" ones - they gape a tiny bit in the middle. The other styles are a fantastic fit on me, very pretty and supportive and incredibly comfortable: I have, er, far too many of them. Not cheap, but as a PP said they have a sale on atm and they often show up new on Ebay/discount sites. Cleo Maddie and Koko are my other favourites.

Debenhams was a bust nothing in my size.

Will have a look online tonight at the other brands.

Can't remember who mentioned M&S but was measured many years ago (mil is a big fan) and they did say 34aa. Obviously this looked awful and the response was they don't do smaller and I didn't need a bra.

Ps from reading previous bra intervention threads I did think instore measuring was going to be wrong but figured it would be interesting to see what they said.

That's their usual approach. Because they add 4 inches to the underbust then in their world anyone who has less than a 4 inch difference doesn't compute. And that's a lot of folk

Sorry to hop on someone elses thread but I also need some bra intervention help please.

I'm currently wearing a 34C, and my measurements are 31 and 37.5.

I've tried on the following sizes in a variety of makes (debenhams own, curvy Kate, Freya) and none of them fit me; 30e, 30f, 30ff, 32dd, 32e, 32f. The 30s felt a bit tight, but that might be cause I'm used to 34s? Out of them all the 32e was probably the best but it still didn't fit right - I was bulging out under my arms but the top was gaping a bit. I really struggled to fill the bigger cup sizes, but always had underarm fat....

Where am I going wrong?

Size wise you're looking in the right place so it sounds like you also need wide and shallow cups. You might find that whilst it will feel tight to begin with a 30 with wide cups will be better as the firmer band helps keep it all in the cup post scooping
