Son thinks he sweats too much ( for that read -like a normal human) but prob does need a stronger anti persp to give him confidence

What is the best one?

Mitchum - 48 hour protection - and it really does work!

JackandDiane · 10/07/2016 22:34

thank you! I know there are loads

JackandDiane · 10/07/2016 22:36

Stick Mitchum.
It's anti-perspirant he needs not deodorant. I was amazed when my 17 YO son told me lots of his friends didn't know the difference.

dontpokethebear · 10/07/2016 22:43

Mitchum roll on! My husband, teenage son and I all use it.

JackandDiane · 10/07/2016 23:02

Thank you. It's now on the tesco order

oh too late but Imperial Leather anti p spray is v good. We get from the Factory Shop, is about a quid

Kummerspeck · 10/07/2016 23:09

DS uses the Sure Extra Strength Cream and finds it better than the others

MilicentKing · 10/07/2016 23:12

And he should make sure he has a clean top every day. Getting warm in an already worn top will smell.

SweetPeaPods · 10/07/2016 23:18

Yes to an anti perspirant roll on. Much better than a body spray

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 10/07/2016 23:18

Best thing for manky teens?
Autralian Body Care Tea Tree Skin Wash.
My DS has a fairly sensitive skin, some shampoos will react on his face where they wash out.
He uses the ABC as a face/body wash.
It doesn't smell strong after it's rinsed (so it doesn't clash with his beloved Lynx Blush ) but is anti bacterial.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 10/07/2016 23:19

Ds does tons of sports and uses Dove clean scent 48hr spray ,works well. Clean clothes daily is vital!

JackandDiane · 10/07/2016 23:50

He doesn't smell I know about washing and stuff Hmm

MilicentKing · 10/07/2016 23:53

Sorry OP. I just know that sometimes teenagers can be less than scrupulous about clothes. You don't say how old your son is, but I remember needing to gently tell my son when he was about 13 or 14 that he should start wearing a fresh shirt to school each day. Until puberty they can get away with it.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 10/07/2016 23:58

If he doesn't smell you won't need deodorant recommendations then Wink

No need to roll your eyes.

hollinhurst84 · 11/07/2016 00:06

Random but soap under arms rather than shower gel works better for me
Dove/sure do a 48hr cream which is really good

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 11/07/2016 00:06

Soap is much better,I agree.

NowWhat1983 · 11/07/2016 00:07

Driclor

JackandDiane · 11/07/2016 07:27

It's the sweating. He hates sweating. Tbh even as a little boy he'd sweat through his head when playing football. He's almost 18

OP posts:
ptumbi · 11/07/2016 07:33

My dses use Perspirex - put it on at night. They only need it every 3 days - it works.

And deodorant - stops odours.
Anti-perspirant - stops perspiration.

JackandDiane · 11/07/2016 07:37

Lol. Thank you everyone for the deodorant anti perp explanations.

I know that. Was just a short hand title.

I'll cancel the cheque too.

2nds · 11/07/2016 07:42

Excessive sweating is a medical condition so it might be worth him going to see the GP.

EasternDailyStress · 11/07/2016 07:46

Pmsl @"I'll cancel the cheque too"

JackandDiane · 11/07/2016 08:08

Thanks 2nds I'm not sure it is. I think it's a teenage aversion to sweat. He and his dad for eg, if they mow the lawn will sweat

I'll think on

NowWhat1983 · 11/07/2016 12:14

Driclor means he wont sweat at all. You only use it rwice a week
