Can anyone recommend a whitening toothpaste that actually works and is easily available to buy???

The Colgate Max White one is good, if expensive. And the Arm & Hammer ones are pretty good too - had a snoop in the bathroom of a friend with super-white teeth and found this is what they use.

I'm avoiding Pearl White right now as it made my teeth sensitive.

The only one which works for me- and I have tried lots- is White Glo. Available from Tesco and sometimes Home Bargains.

Colgate Max White Optic.

DramaAlpaca · 10/07/2016 20:30

Another vote for White Glo.

Arm & Hammer works well too, but tastes a bit odd.

Yep White Glow!

alicebiscuits · 10/07/2016 21:50

I don't think they really work...

IMurderedStampyLongnose · 10/07/2016 21:51

I like the Colgate max white optic too, really think it works.

I use the Colgate max white one professional (it's the one with a small amount of peroxide in it). It's brilliant. Made my teeth look fab.

MoonHare · 10/07/2016 22:05

Is colgate max white professional different from the usual colgate max white to be found in supermarkets? Because we've used that regularly and not noticed any difference...perhaps my teeth are just irredeemably yellow....Grin

I agree that wrm and hammer tastes odd - too salty I think.

Sorry it's called 'expert white' and yes it is different, it's the only one to have bleaching agent in it. It's deffo worth a go. Think it's a couple of quid more than the other Max white ones.

LuckySantangelo1 · 10/07/2016 23:13

Other top tip is to use an electric toothbrush. Manual doesn't cut if imo.

SirChenjin · 10/07/2016 23:13

The Colgate one with blue in it works for DD and me

hollinhurst84 · 11/07/2016 13:47

White glo. But I only ever recommend it to remove staining and I alternate it with my normal toothpaste. Not sure if it actually whitens but I did before/after pics and it 100% shifts stains to the point my dentist commented
