Please help me find a top for these trousers

Have a summer party to go to, dress code is smart casual summer(?!)

I have these trousers which are really flattering but no idea what top to wear with them that's a bit more evening but not over the top glam.

I'm a size 14, large nork and NO sleeveless...I was thinking white maybe?!

I am certainly no style guru but thought the trousers looked a bit casual? To me, they are more slouching on the sofa watching to than summer party...

If you don't like dresses/skirts, smartish pair of jeans, with perhaps one of those tops that show your shoulders but have sleeves (loads in shops at the moment. My dd says they're called cold shoulder tops!). Or nice T-shirt with coloured, thin summer waterfall cardigan on top. I think black/dark blue with white top can look a bit waitressy

Well they look like my old school trousers, so white shirt and tie?

sorry, I can't think beyond that, apart from a soft grey tshirt of some kind?
