Everyday cheap powder/foundation

Hi

I'm Looking for an everyday powder / foundation that suits my Asian skin tone. I use Mac studio fix NC40 at the moment but I'm looking for a cheaper alternative. My skin is combination type and I do have blemishes which are usually easily covered up. Ideally something long lasting. I find liquid a bit of a faff on a daily basis and only use liquid on occasions.

Can anyone recommend anything?? Quite a few years ago I liked the loreal pressed powder in golden honey, not even sure if they do this anymore.

Hi I use no.7 compact foundation, is that what you're after? It's not powder based, but comes in a compact with sponge applicator (I can't be bothered/ never have time for blending liquid foundation with school run in the mornings!) it's medium coverage I think, but I find it good. (I apply with a brush and still put a sweep of powder over the top). Great range of colours.

Actually I've also got s couple of L'oreal ones, one is a compact foundation and the other is powder based, both ok, but I find the compact sits in my pores a bit and highlights them rather than hides! But worth a look if yours in boots or similar.

Thanks! I'll have a look. I forgot number 7 did that big launch for all skin tones so they probably will be able to colour match me

I like the bodyshop all in one facebase.
I'm mixed race and it suits my warm complexion.
I use a primer, as I get oily during the day, and often powder my t zone over the base with setting powder.
I apply with my damp beauty blender and swirl a layer over the top with a brush.
Gives me a smooth, but not too matt complexion that looks good throughout the day.
I always stock up on one of the bodyshops many deals.

I think it's around £14.50, but I tend to buy when they have their (frequent!) offers on, either 3 for 2, and get mascara etc or when they do the vouchers £3 off make up - in fact last time I got 3 for 2 AND used a voucher Grin

Ooh I like the sound of that body shop one myself, I'll have a look, I forget they do make up.

I've tried a few compact foundations over the years, and keep going back to this one. Especially in the heat.
I've been quite impressed with how my skin looks with it on, especially with the beauty blender application, and the recent use of primer.
I'm a sweaty betty and can look horribly oily/sweaty/greasy if not careful Blush

Thanks I'll defo give that a try, which primer do you use?

Primer is this one

It does the job quite nicely with no irritation Smile
