Lidl clothing

Would you? Do you? What's your opinion on lidl clothing?
I was in there earlier and there were some maxi dresses for £4.99 and long line vest tops for £2.99 that caught my eye but part of me just can't get passed it being lidl. feels like it should be bought off the market stalls. I'm being a snob aren't I? I'd love to know what others think about them especially people who have bought and worn lidl clothes

I bought the linen vest top and the short sleeved linen top. I like them, not bothered about the Lidl origin.

I had a Lidl t shirt that shrank badly.

I've had some great jeans and leather-look boots that lasted a few years, but vest tops don't do so well after washing. (mind you they are £2.99 for 3) I'd say it's easily comparable with other supermarket stuff, which is just as good as Next but cheaper.

I wear too much Lidl, or "Esmara" I should say!

I find the tshirts shrink too much.

I haven't bought anything for myself but wouldn't rule it out. My kids have some shortie PJs from there that wash brilliantly.

My friend was wearing a linin dress from there today. It looked lovely and the fabric was really good quality

For my holiday i bought a 2 dresses and a top - all lovely, good value and have washed well. Cant see them lasting forever but for a £5 each cant complain. Also losing weight so i am hoping to slim out of them before they wear out - fingers crossed!

They did some fab boyfriend style jeans a couple of months ago, they were £7.99 a pair.

I bought four pairs, size 12-18. I've slimmed into the 16 and won't be long till I'm at size 14!

I love them, they're cotton with no stretch whatsoever, but just the right style for me. Slim in the leg and high-ish waisted. I've been after boyfriend jeans for ages and they were all too voluminous in the leg if they fitted me in the waist.

Have had no problems washing them.

I have:

Boyfriend jeans (wearing right now - same type as Felicity by the sounds of it - they're great)
Pleather jacket (looks way more expensive than it was; I wear it all the time)
Linen-look wide leg trousers (for slobbing)
Black harems (for slobbing)
Blue and white patterned harems (lovely fit, not too baggy)
White boxy teeshirt (a bit polyester-y but OK)
Cream vest with lace trim (lovely, nice and long)
Shortie PJs (excellent quality and about £2.50)
Running top (as good as branded)

The DDs have black leggings, tights, undies and flip flops.

Umm....so you could say I'm pretty OK with Lidl clothes!

I quite like the Esmara dress (the white/black leafy pattern) its poly/viscose.

£4 so worth a punt for Summer and our holiday in October.

I did the online calculation to check my size , don't fancy trying it on instore and CBA going back.

teawamutu · 09/07/2016 08:26

I bought a pure linen t shirt and vest there last week, fabric really nice quality and good cut.

Gwenhwyfar · 09/07/2016 11:06

I don't think you can try it on in store can you 70? At least in the Lidl I go to the clothes are sold in packets and there are no changing rooms. I find their sizes quite generous so if you're normally a medium, I'd say go for the small.
