best high street nail polish

I was an OPI addict for years bur now have switched to Mavala. They are superb and the very first nail colour that my mum applied to me circa 1970 was a Mavala on in a metallic navy blue!

I'm wearing Freesia at the moment as it is lovely and summery

Best one for me is barry m as its cruelty free. The MUA ones in superdrug are ok too, especially with a good base and top coat. Plus they're so cheap, it doesn't matter if you hate it and bin it.

If you have a Wilkos handy, you really can't beat essence.

There's not a huge range of colours but Indian Summer (peachy coral) and Turn the lights on (soft metallic green) are just gorgeous. They're £2.50 a bottle, go on really well and last for ages.

Get the topcoat as well and seriously it'll last you a week.

im loving the essie gel range at the moment, you put 2 coats on the a top coat
i put it on 2 weeks back, topped it up last week and its still looking good

Chips - do you need a lamp for it? I want to try it.

Maybelline do a super stay 7 days gel nail colour and it does last 7 days on my fingers and over 2 weeks on my toes! Superdrug have it for around £5

nope no lamp needed, it goes on just like nail polish

the tips of mine have faded over the 2+weeks its been on but im typingall the time in work then at home, i bought it to test it out before going on holiday and once saw it worked brill i bought more colours.....its deffo going to be my go to nail polish

boots have it on a buy one get one half price last week so worked out about 15 quid for 2 but superdrug had it 3 for so 3 for 20 quid.....not sure if that offer is still on tho

Without a doubt the best is L'oreal colour riche - the skinny little bottles you can find them in Poundland but don't tell anyone

I painted my toenails five weeks ago in a limited edition deep red (colour name escapes me) and they've only this week started to chip. Looks like gel polish as well.
