Running Leggings

Just got some lovely new Nike running Capri pants, the tight dry-fit kind. I have a question - are they designed so you don't need pants underneath? My pants(knickers) leave an unsightly line, but otherwise they are great.

I wear a thong under mine (my usual everyday knickers) but know plenty of my running friends that don't bother - personal preference I suppose!

Personal preference entirely. I can't cope with going commando, so I wear seam free microfibre pants and longer tops, but it's perfectly normal to just go without.
