Do you change your mascara every 6mths?

I didn't know you was supposed to?? Every 6 mth even if there's loads left? Anyone?

Mine always runs out b4 then. But yes it would need changed as dirt builds up in there

Nope. I have thrown out stuff if it smells or is visibly fucked but otherwise I keep it till it's used up.

Yes always. I'm not so strict with other make up but I'm super careful when it's stuff that goes near my eyes.

I used to know someone who had the same mascara for 3 years! She used to top it up with water when it started to dry out .

I wear mascara only very rarely so bought a job lot of disposable mascara wands and never put a used one back in the tube.

Disposable mascara wands sound great. I never use up mascara in the 6 months that are recommended. Where did you buy them from?

No. Makeup gets chucked when it looks, smells or applies differently, and that has been after a couple of months sometimes or a couple of years for others.

I wear two coats ever day, mine runs out quickly!

However, I wouldn't throw it out if hadn't. I don't believe the rubbish about throwing make-up out after a set period, that's invented by cosmetics companies to get you to buy more. I doubt many bacteria can survive in all those chemicals!

Mine tends to dry up around the three month mark so I always change then, I use mascara every day so I can't complain.

I'm lucky if o get to use mine once every 6 months and for that reason no. I do try and get one every year. I like to refresh my make up bag with not to costly but not too cheap things for those special occasions.

I have never thrown any make-up out that I still use because of how long I have had it! There is some stuff that I have had for years. Mascara doesn't normally last more than 6 months but I do have some occasional use mascara that I've had for at least a year.
