colour coordination dilemma

I recently bought an oxblood leather jacket. It's beautiful and I love it but I am finding it alot more difficult to know what to wear with it than my old grey pleather one.

I usually wear navy or grey on my legs. So, what colour bag and shoes. Mitch jacket with shoes? Mismatch? What?

I think its difficult to decide without knowing a bit more, for example

  • i am quite short, so would always keep my shoes and trousers the same or similar colour to emphasise vertical, elongating lines
  • friend who is very tall, tends to wear contrasting shoes and trousers, to do the opposite

My colouring generally is low contrast, so i always wear colours that tone (shades or creme, or brown or whatever), whereas friend with high contrast colouring would wear colours that contrast ( at the end xtreme black and white).

Hope that helps.

Ok. thanks for replying.

I am 5 foot 6, size 10 -12 but quite curvy.

I'm a grey eyed redhead. Soft colours suit me - grey blue pink off white. Strongly contrasting ones definitely don't.

Does that help?
