sun screen face cream?

Can anyone recommend a good sun screen for my face? I need high protection, at least factor 25 but preferably more. Ideally I'd like to not notice it once it's on, so not oily or drying. I'd like it to smell ok too, or have no scent at all. Recently I have had Vichy, which was ok but a bit oily, and Occitane de Provence, which was v drying (like talc) and not v effective.

So, what do you wear and would you recommend it?

Estée Lauder do one, think called day wear. It smells like cucumber and is invisible on skin. Think it's factor 50. I've used it for years and swear by it.

I use la Roche Posay factor 50. They have all sorts in Boots the one I use dries to a matt finish so is good to put make up on the top.

Eucerin even brighter is the best I have found for not shiny/greasy. I've also tried Lancôme, Estée Lauder and la Roche posey among a few others I've forgotten, and keep buying the eucerin one again as it seems better to me.

It's spf30

I use Garnier Ambre solaire BB cream spf 50. Not greasy at all. On top of that I wear Clinique City Block.
I have chloasma on my cheeks (caused by hormonal contraception) and it goes mad in the sun.

I use this heliocare 360 one. Goes on really nicely and isn't greasy or sticky www.effortlessskin.com/p-3491-360deg-fluid-cream-spf-50-50ml.aspx?slp=vPeOCWypqUOSepEvx0cbrhyGbvjklsl&gclid=CJK6otH5wMQCFYcSwwodXawAhQ

I use the Clinique one. I think it's factor 30.

Thanks everyone! Cucumber scent sounds lovely, and if I cannot find that one there are plenty of suggestions that fit my wish list. I really need to find a grown up alternative, I've been using DS's Nivea kids which is super greasy and smells of piña colada...

I'm another one who uses La Roche Posay, spf 50+. I usually hate putting on sunscreen, but don't find this one too yucky.

Shiningexample · 03/07/2016 10:18

I like eucerin matttifying sun fluid

Liiinoo · 03/07/2016 10:24

BObbi brown do a factor 50 that is matte, light and invisible when on.

Thanks everyone! I haven't had a chance to go shopping yet, but now I'll have plenty to chose from. You're the best

Biore watery essence, factor 50. £7 from Amazon

JohnCheese · 05/07/2016 22:33

I've just bought the Biorè Watery Essence one and I really like it. It totally disappears. I'm not sure how photostable it is, so, it's probably fine for a day at work with brief periods outside but I wouldn't be sure of its SPF if you're outside a lot.

tappitytaptap · 05/07/2016 22:34

I just use a Boots facial one under my usual moisturiser, gives a lovely glow as a bonus too!

sue51 · 05/07/2016 23:11

Ultra sun is great for my sensitive skin. I use factor 30 everyday and up it to factor 50 when I'm on holiday in the sun.

Same as LazyCake - couldn't be happier. No breakouts either
