Bare minerals make up, any good?

I currently have estee lauder foundation but when i wear out i break out in spots within 12 hours of using it and then cant shift the spots for months! (I dont wear make up very often)

Even when its a brand new unopened bottle it still gives me spots.

Someone has suggested bare minerals as she said estee lauder is a very heavy foundation and possibly not suitable for my sensitive skin.

Clinique and mac make up are too dark for me even with their lighest shade.

Would bare minerals be better?

I've got the Laura geller telescopic brush, you just swirl it over the balance and brighten and sweep it over your face, totally foolproof. It's not a powder, but not a cream either. For fuller coverage retract the brush a bit so it's more concentrated
