Has anyone been? Not sure if it's a casual or a dressy type thing? We are going on King George VI weekend and are in Queen Anne Enclosure. I know there is no formal dress code but what type of thing to people wear? Anyone that would like to find me an outfit, I am size 10-12, 5ft 7 and 32yo Grin

What age? Size? Height? :)

I've been - but only to Royal Ascot in the Royal Enclosure so that has a tighter dress code. I think it's nice to dress up though Smile

I like that oasis dress, thanks. I don't get dressed up very often so it will be nice to make an effort for a change! I just don't want to be too casual but really don't want to be OTT either!

Sorry to resurrect this post! But I have been invite to Royal Ascot this year, In the royal enclosure. What an earth do you wear! I've never worn a hat in my life haha!!

Royal Enclosure rules are very strict. You definitely need a hat, not a fascinator. Dress / skirt needs to be knee length and need to have proper shoulder straps

I’ve hired hats in the past, which has worked well. Have a look at the Telegraph or Daily Mail Ascot outfits articles for the last few years for ideas. Have fun! It’s a fabulous day out

Unless it's really, really hot (in which case, hurrah), it can be chillier than you expect because there's a lot of standing about outside. Definitely plan an outfit to which you can add a stylish and appropriate jacket or similar, which you can leave at home if it's sweltering.
