A wide footed success story!

This is possibly news to no-one, but it's new to me and I am well pleased. I had a gorgeous pair of fancy shoes that were too tight across the ball of my foot to wear for 10 minutes. I know. I shouldn't have bought them.

I took them to a cobbler who charged me £5 to stretch them, and they are perfect. I'm prancing around the kitchen in them.

So. Wide feet. Shoe stretching. Brilliant.

Thumbs up!

I have shoe stretchers, they cost about £20.00 each from clarks and you need to leave them in for at least a couple of days for them to work but they are worth every penny as I can stretch all my shoes to fit.
I buy the mens size as I have very big wide feet, You can also get them off ebay

Shoe stretcher spray works too. £4 from Clarks.

I love my cobbler - in fact i am picking up some shoes thst have been stretched tomorrow.

Does stretching work on patent leather?

sighbynight · 29/06/2016 06:33

Google says yes, Chippy. For the £5 investment, it's worth a try.

Brilliant. I have a few pairs of shoes that rarely get worn, so will have a go. How does the cobbler know which parts to stretch?
