Does anyone have a Superdry T-shirt in ladies XL or L? If so could you tell me what the actual chest measures? Many thanks...

I don't, so I'm mostly just bumping this for you..

But I think L is 14 and XL is 14/16. I'm an 8 and wear XS but tops don't last long, they tend to pull across the boobs. I'm not sure if that helps at all! I've found the structure of their tops means it looks odd if you have to size up, the chest bit fits better but the body looks wrong.

Thanks. It's for DD not me, she's usually a size 10/12 but she tried on a couple of larges in TKMaxx, and they were way too tight on her tummy. Wasn't sure if they were wrong sizes.

I can only answer about the men's sizing bit it might be relevant. I've just returned a few t shirts in dss usual size. They're smaller than expected. The guy in the shop said that the new stick in dome styles is coming in smaller fitting. At the moment theres a mix of both in stock so there's no consistency.

I have a couple of t-shirts in a ladies' Medium from Superdry, and they fit well, but definitely on the snugger side, and I'm a busty but slenderish 5'9. I vary size wise from place to place but I'm usually a 10 overall, occasionally an 8 and occasionally a 12 on top to accommodate 30Fs (or thereabouts).

More often than not in XS/S/M/L-style sizing I'm an S, so I'd say if anything you should size up for Superdry although YMMV. I'd certainly look an absolute tool in a Superdry small.

IMO a Superdry large (at least in the t shirts) would be more like a large 10, so XL probably worth a shot unless DD is going for a very clingy look.

And apologies for lack of measurements!

burnishedsilver · 28/06/2016 18:29

Apologies for all my typos!

I have two Superdry tees and they are loose on me, they are supposed to be. They are XL, I'm a 34hh size 16!

XL shorts also fitted me. I honestly don't see how an XL on a 10/12 should be anywhere near too tight, they were probably in there because they were labelled incorrectly.

Thanks for the replies. I had wondered if they had altered their sizing, as I've looked in the past and their stuff looked tiny. But last time I was on holiday and looked in their shop, the XL looked like it would fit me and I'm an 18. I had wanted to buy from Ebay, might wait till we can go somewhere to try them on.

the stuff is small in superdry and holliter. dd is 10 and no way in adult sized clothing, she still wears age 11. She has a size xs hoodie from both stores that fits nicely. A bit long in the arms but body wise its fine, also her older slim friend (age 12) wears a small and its not overly loose on her and I would say she would be no more than an adult size 4/6.

I'm sure that xl is about a 12/14. They are both well publicised as saying that the brands are not for larger people!

CallarMorvern · 29/06/2016 15:05

Hmm...she has a size small Hollister hoodie, that fits fine.
