Important work event tomorrow. Should I wear this?

I'm fairly new to Europe. This time I'm going to seek advice before wearing something to an important work event...

Will I look like a bumblebee if I wear yellow trousers with a black shirt and black pants tomorrow?

Thanks for any advice!

Are trousers and pants not the same thing?

ChardonnayKnickertonSmythe · 23/06/2016 20:25

Depends on your waist.

if you're on the bigger side you might resemble a bumblebee, if you're rather slinky you might get away with a wasp.

dI'd you mean black pumps/court shoe?

HelsBels3000 · 23/06/2016 20:26

I never wear black and yellow for this reason. Navy and yellow works better I find.

ItsLikeRainOnYourWeddingDay: yes they are! I meant to write "shoes."

ChardonnayKnickertonSmythe: I do have a bit of a belly.

Well, it looks like I should think of something else. Great advice about navy, HelsBels3000, but I don't have a navy top that's OK for work.

So when I got the yellow trousers on sale, I also got dusky rose pink ones. I would usually never buy pink intentionally, but the expense of returning them was not worth it. Is it OK to wear pink trousers to work with a black shirt and black shoes? Not too childish?

I think we need mirror photos of the two outfits.

I cant really give my proper advice unless I see both outfits together. Would you be able to provide pictures so we can advise you best?
