Recommend some straighteners

Which are the best straighteners now? I have a cheapish pair just now that were a present a couple of years ago, had GHDs probably 10 years ago and had FHIs after them but from my initial Google, it seems like GHDs aren't as good as they used to be (recently changed hands?) and FHIs don't seem to be around really, so I think I'm probably quite out of date! From starting looking at reviews, Cloud 9 seem mostly good but some bad, and lots of less expensive brands are getting good reviews, but I'm sure the mumsnetters will be able to tell me what's actually best! Compared to the ones I have now, I want them to heat up quickly, not need to go over the same bit twice and to last into the next day like when the hairdresser does it! Also need to be suitable for curling as I do that fairly regularly. Thanks!

I have Cloud 9s and love them. They turn off automatically, have two heat settings, and just glide over my hair.

How long do you find your hair stays straight for? Which type of Cloud 9s do you have?

Definitely don't get GHDs. I replaced some old one and the new ones only heat to 180/190 degrees instead of 210 or whatever like the old ones. Makes all the difference. Mine frizzes even after straightening now. My mum has a pair of cheap remingtons which miles better.

Sorry for typos

Thanks! Anyone else or are Cloud 9s the ones to go for?
