Where do you buy your jeans from?

During my student days and post-graduation days, mostly due to finances, my jeans were from Next, Red Herring, and Miss Selfridges. I'm petite so length is an issue.
Is it worthwhile investing in jeans from a specialist brand such as Lee or Levi? Where do you buy your jeans from?

I hate jeans shopping with a passion. Lately I like the next lift slim and shape ones and marks and spencer although it pains me to admit it! Marks have a huge range of combos of colours/lengths/styles so there's usually one pair I can find that I like and they aren't too dear. I used to love Levi's but wouldn't spend the money on them now.

Hilfiger skinny jeans, they're long, they fit my skinny calves and so far haven't split on the arse, I have four pairs at the moment.

Gap can be hit and miss, as can H&M.

Unlike Superdry skinny jeans which lasted a record three months before splitting!

I like Zara but they're quite hit or miss and it's bloody impossible to find the right size. H&M jeggings are also great, and only £12.99

I always used to buy Lee Norma and Lee Marion, they are very very flattering, I loved them. A pair of raw denim Lee Marions is on its last legs and I've unsuccessfully been trying to replace them for a year now. I never paid full price for them, always stalk tk maxx and ebay. At the moment though I'm living in a pair of high waist black Ralph Laurent denim & supply, they are more slim than proper skinny and tuck in my mum tum nicely. I randomly found them at tk maxx. I guess my point is try lots of styles there that you like and don't worry about brands.

Gap for boyfriend jeans, New Look (the £22.99 ones) or Topshop Jamie for skinnies. I still like Levis but used to buy them on holidays to the US and didn't get any when I last went in November so my current pairs are getting on a bit.

M&S Per Una Roma fit. They're the only ones that fit my shape and preferences. I'm
also a pear with small waist compared to bum.

Good old M&S still had some on-waist jeans when low cut were in and have always had the option of straight leg when everywhere else was either bootleg only (10 yrs ago) or skinny only nowadays.

River Island at the moment, they are about the only pair I have that don't fall down after 2 mins of wearing them. Or that I don't have to size down in.

Sainsburys, their jeans are amazing.

rosyvalentine · 21/06/2016 00:00

Mine are Gap, Zara or Oasis. I think Oasis Cherry skinnies are great. Don't seem to lose their shape like others.

KittensandKnitting try New Look Tall. A lot of their jeans are 36" inside. They're really cheap and not bad quality. Not many stores hold stock though do you have to take a punt online.

confuugled1 · 21/06/2016 06:40

Another vote for Sainsburys - I used to wear Marks and Sparks Roma jeans too but find the Sainsburys ones have a better cut and look better plus they're much cheaper, especially when it is 25% off week.

I've even converted dh to get his jeans in Sainsburys Grin

confuugled1 · 21/06/2016 06:43

Oh and they also do a variety of different styles so you can find something flattering for your shape and they have tall and short versions too.

Brummiegirl15 · 21/06/2016 09:07

I wear NYDJ - they are amazing!!!! I have about 4 pairs. I always try and buy in the US as far cheaper but they do also sell them in John Lewis

Liiinoo · 21/06/2016 09:29

I am an apple shape, big belly and waist but skinny little legs and small bum. Currently wearing Uniqlo stretch jeggings which are actually more like skinnie jeans in texture and cut. Crop for every day with flats and the standard length with heels for evenings. I am addicted. Have just ordered 4 more pairs.

adrianabelshaw · 21/06/2016 16:26

I always choose Zara

1stDayOfSummer · 21/06/2016 16:29

Topshop, they sell the best jeans and very cheap as well.
