I have a pair bought from sunsan and under them it says they are a 7. However this is a USA size and the corresponding size here is a 39 uk size 6. So on the Toast website are they using the USA sizing or the normal UK sizing? If i order a 39 i will have a 6 but on the underside they will be marked a 7 like the ones i have now?
It is so confusing!!!

I had the same confusion about the toast and office websites which sell them. Can you buy from the saltwater website directly as they have an explanation of their sizes

shins · 16/06/2016 19:54

The Toast website uses UK / European sizing.

BringMeTea · 16/06/2016 19:57

I bought them from Toast and ordered my UK size which is correct.

I've got 2 pairs, one from Office, which I sent for my own size - 41, and one from Saltwater themselves, who after speaking to, recommended I went with their size 40. I'm really between the 2 sizes. The 41 is too big and wide, and the 40 is the perfect width, but my toes go right to the end. I'd really like a pair in tan but I don't know which size to go for now!

neveradullmoment99 · 17/06/2016 22:38

and just to make things more confusing, someone is selling a pair bought from toast brand new marked a 39 but on the sole it says a 6!!!! I am a 6 and a size 39 so you would think that this would be fine. I was alerted to the fact the person selling says they don't fit her. Right enough on the ones i have bought from sunsan they say a 7.

Just as well i didn't order them from Toast as they would have been too small!!! It really is not that simple!

39 is European sizing isn't it? So 39=39=39!

Clearly not in this case Euphemia. The box on the Toast ones say a 39 but but on the shoe they say a 6. I am a six but the ones i bought from sunsan say 7 at the bottom. Confused? Yeh, so am I!!!!

I bought mine from Bells shoes, it was free delivery and returns and they arrived the next day. I am a size 7/41 and bought the 8 from their website, they are perfect. They have a lot of colours and sizes in stock.

Scoopmuckdizzy · 18/06/2016 07:21

I'm looking at the Bells shoes website - if I'm a UK 4 / Eu 37 would I need to buy a size 5?

AmethystMoon · 18/06/2016 07:29

I agree that normal rules don't seem to apply with the sizing. I bought a pair from office last year, they have a 7 on the sole. The box had been re labelled as a size 6. The assistant said they had all been sized wrong! I said I thought it was just that Saltwater sandal sizing was a bit different.
I am normally a very standard 39/UK 6.
I bought a pair in Toast yesterday ( sale on!) I asked for a 7, saying I know they are sized differently as I am normally a 6. The assistant said no, just go for your usual size. In the end he bought me a 6 (marked on box as 39) and a 7 ( marked as 40). The 6 were too small, the 7 fitted just like my other pair. He said oh you must be a 7 then!
I recommend trying a couple of sizes if you can.

MiracletoCome · 18/06/2016 07:31

They do seem to come up short, I ordered 7 and 8 from there so I would tend to go bigger or order both sizes.

I am looking at Toast at the moment and they appear to be £41 in the sale but delivery is 4.95 and I doubt returns are free, I may risk a 41 from there. Bells sometime have offers, I got the shiny fuchsia for £33 and I also got 10% of for first order so they may send you an offer if you put some in the basket Smile

otherstories · 18/06/2016 07:36

I'm a size 5, the 38/5 shoes from Toast are enormous on me so I'm in a 4.

Scoopmuckdizzy · 18/06/2016 07:37

This is really confusing Confused

Mirandawest · 18/06/2016 07:40

I wear size 6.5 shoes generally. My saltwater sandals are a 7. Not sure what EU size they are Smile

MiracletoCome · 18/06/2016 08:04

They must be all different as my box unfortunately does not have a EU size on it, it says 8 w10, ordered 8UK from Bells.

I am a Next/Clarks/M&S, 7 or 41. US 9.5-10 usually

I have 2 pairs of Toast 41's in my basket but even their reviews are confusing, I shall probably dither for ages and they will sell out.

OliveBranchCollins · 18/06/2016 08:31

I think they use US youth sizing which is roughly 1 size bigger than UK sizes
