Silver hoop earrings- where to buy?

I buy studs from various eBay sites no problem.
But for hoops, I need to know they're easy to put in, a sleeper preferably rather than a creole type.

Not too thick, more the silver wire type and about the size of a wedding ring in diameter.
I can't buy off eBay unseen because they won't change them.

Anyone bought any ? Online or in store?

Will they let me handle the earrings (not try them on, but just see how easy they are to open and close? )

I had some tiny gold hoops from Argos years ago (very thin flexible 9ct) but my DD has 'borrowed' them.

I always find hippy shops the best bet for silver earrings - the type that smell of incense.
