Is Saltwater kind of like Boden but cooler?

Please say yes!

I bought a beautiful quality skirt from their 35% off 35th birthday the other week but a friend said she would put it in the same category clothes wise as Fat face or White stuff noooooooo!

I love Sea Salt, Fat Face and White Stuff, although I can't afford much of their stuff. I'd say all three were more fun than Boden - a sort of slightly outdoorsy hippy vibe (one half of my style personality is hippy beach bum so that suits me), with Sea Salt perhaps a little bit more grown up and conventional than the other two.

If you like that general look, have you looked at Mantaray (in Debenhams)? They are quite similar in their use of bright colours and unusual prints, but possibly slightly cheaper and there's always something reduced.

Assuming these brands are popular with 30/40s mums because they suit a post childbirth figure, are practical, wear well and you know, people like them.

I'm an incurable Boden shopper mostly cause I work full time, have 2 kids and am petite. I can order loads, try it on at home & send back what doesn't suit which is extremely convenient. The quality is very good and I mostly wear black and navy - no prejudice against prints though!

I have a really lovely pair of leather salvage boots from seasalt and a great waterproof that is actually waterproof.

Ooh - which one do you have, Dirtyprettything? I'm willing to waive all 'toddler clothing' objections in order to get something weatherproof!

I have the seaside Mac though I've heard good things about all their waterproofs

Also... They have a sale on Wink

Thank you!

I too have a Seasalt Mac and it's great - I have the black Kellifray. It's very good quality and waterproof (unlike the Boden Macs) and is quite fitted so looks nice in in my opinion. Loads of people have asked where it's from and commented on it. It has turned out to be my best investment so far this year as we've nothing but rain up here in the north east for bloody ages. And I'm 37, not over 50, and personally I don't think I'm frumpy!
