Well after my post yesterday I thought I was sorted for a hen night. My Oh came back from working away and says that the dress doesnt suit my shape! (hes no Gok Wan)
So I need some help, I have two other dresses from previous occassions in my wardrobe.
(excuse the messy room - 17yr old teenager)!

Personally, I wouldn't wear a maxi dress for a hen night. I like both the floral and the pale coloured one. The pale colour one looks the most flattering!

twobambinos · 14/06/2016 11:54

The long one really shows off your lovely figure but might be a bit fussy for a hen? I'd go with the plain one. But.... Sometimes the bride is in a very light colour do you know?

MinnieF1 · 14/06/2016 11:57

I like the pale one best sorry. However, the floral one still looks nice.

theothersideof40 · 14/06/2016 11:59

Thanks everyone, twobambinos she has a black and gold dress.
OK so plain or floral one

The pale dress looks most flattering.

Naicecuppatea · 14/06/2016 13:15

Pale dress first, looks really good, then maxi dress.

imjessie · 14/06/2016 13:20

I can't see the light one , maxi too casual .. TT floral one a bit floral for me for a hen night ..Haven't you got a plainer one ?

theothersideof40 · 14/06/2016 13:24

Imjessie, no I dont really do dresses, usually trousers and tops!

Judydreamsofhorses · 14/06/2016 13:40

Do you have to wear a dress? The pale one is nicest, I think, but is there a reason you can't wear nice trousers and top if that's what you prefer?

OuchLegoHurts · 14/06/2016 13:46

Pale!

theothersideof40 · 14/06/2016 13:59

Everyone is going in dresses! So I think I would feel strange in trousers. I havnt been on a hen night for years so forgot what people wear!

Karcheer · 14/06/2016 14:10

I prefer the pale one, but you say hen night... Is it actually in the day? All dresses look like daywear to me :/

cindyrella · 14/06/2016 14:11

Definitely pale dress with the shoes not the sandals. Looks really flattering.

theothersideof40 · 14/06/2016 14:16

Thanks cindyrella, I was just trying the shoes. Have some nice gold ones now.
Karcheer, its day and night, if you have anymore suggestions then more than happy to look!

The maxi dress is the most flattering on your (rather nice!) figure.

The others look a bit work-like to me.

Mrsmaudwatts · 14/06/2016 18:49

The first one is lovely!! Whats wrong with it? Shows off your lovely hourglass shape!

Polkadot1974 · 14/06/2016 20:55

Pale with sandals for me

theothersideof40 · 15/06/2016 12:14

The long dress really shows off your hourglass shape but I like the pale one too. Please try to find some matching shoes though Wink
