Evening 'do' for chin length fine hair?

I am off to a charity ball at the weekend and I am wondering what (if anything) to do with my hair. It's just a straightforward bob with fringe, not quite long enough to put up properly (I can gather it into a small low ponytail - just).

Is there anything vaguely glam I can do with it or should I just leave it as it is and add extra bling to my outfit? Grin

Pretty hairband? Tie up the top and kind of push it forward to make a bump?

I would just go for a nice hair slide and make sure your hair is super glossy and styled well.

Something like this?

I should've pointed out I'm in my forties, so might not be able to get away with a hairband or that floral doohicky. Grin

I could try some kind of hair 'adornment' though.

I agree with Nilby. I'd splash out on a fabulous clip and sweep up one side. Some wedding hair accessories are lovely for special evening wear.

There are lots of things a hairdresser could do.

Book in for a blow-dry with plenty of gloss and oomph.
And wear a fabulous bangle instead.
