Grey tights

Not strictly s & b but does anyone know where I can get thin but not glossy (15 denier maybe rather than opaque) ladies grey tights.

Why dds school has to west grey tights or socks when everyone else wears black is beyond me.

She's also allowed knee length socks but most I can find are too short in the leg for an almost 15 year old.

Is it Tring by any chance? Can't remember where I got mine although I'm sure I had them.

Helpful!

Not that one but similar.

M&S do some fairly lightweight grey opaques which are cotton rich, I love them, quite hard wearing too

RalphSteadmansEye · 12/06/2016 14:22

Are they not allowed opaques? It's grey uniform at our school and the girls all wear opaque or wool tights, not thin ones.

I get Elle ones from TKMaxx and Amazon

Balletgirlmum · 12/06/2016 14:45

Yrs they are allowed opaque but dd finds them hot in summer.

She hated the wooden ones in primary as they never fired well (tiny feet but long legs) so refuses to wear wool
In secondary.

The Elle ones I get are about 15 denier.

BikeRunSki · 12/06/2016 14:56

I wouldn't be keen on wooden tights either Smile

Lol bike!

Bike - it appears they do three shades : French grey, grey smoke & mid grey.

Which shade in your opinion would be the best.

Now there's a question. I'm not really too fussy about my shades of grey (ahem...). Not sure what you mean by best. None of the tights I have are as dark as traditional charcoal grey woolly school tights. I think Smoke is the darkest shade I have. Can't be sure, I haven't bought any for around 6 months.
