Dress to go with these shoes

So, a few weeks back, I asked for help trying to find a dress for a friend's wedding. It's a church wedding, with a reception afterwards, and I will be doing a reading.

I have various dull foot problems which means that my choice of shoe is limited. A wise poster recommended that I sort out the shoes first, and find a dress to fit afterwards.

Here are the shoes! They are Crocs, but you'd never know! I love them, I can walk in them, they are non-negotiable !

I'm on a budget of about £50 for a dress. I am 5 foot 3, size 10 and a 32 DD. The lovely dress that someone showed me at Pepperberry, doesn't really go with the shoes. New suggestions very welcome!

Thanks in advance.

The shoes are great, you'd never know they're crocs. DM has foot problems making it very hard for get to shoes so if she has a special outfit to get we always start with shoes & then find a dress.

Don't have any actual dress suggestions but I'd go for a plain navy & then pick out another of the colours in the shoes for the accessories.

This is nice, simple but stylish.

Oooh lovely shoes, wouldn't think they were crocs! Maybe a dress in one colour so you're not overpowered with lots of different colours?

Ooh - lovely suggestions, thank you. I really like the style of that second Oasis dress, but worry that that light coral will clash with the bright pink in the shoes. Having said that, I have zero innate fashion sense, so very happy to be corrected.

I like the idea of a navy dress too - maybe with a bright pink pashmina or something to pick out the pink in the shoes?

What are people's thoughts on hats? Fascinators? Necessary or a nuisance?

Hmm - what do we think of this?

Potentially with a fuschia wrap and fuschia fascinator to match the shoes?

Ok, now I have to ask - where did you get the shoes from? I have that style in flats (diff colour) and LOVE them.

Of all places, Sports Direct online! £20!

Now I just need someone with style sense to assemble the rest of the outfit for me...

The second Oasis dress would look nice in the ochre rather than coral option.

Lucked · 11/06/2016 22:04

Yes the yellow dress.

Aha! Good call. I hadn't realised it came in another colour!

And hat/fascinator and purse colours? Maybe navy?
