My legs are bloody awful. Does anyone have any tips?

I have a terrible set of legs. I'm due a wax next week so that isn't helping but they are awful and I just can't get them out.

I'm not talking size wise, but the cellulite is a huge issue. I also have severe thread veins on my thighs and back of legs I have veins too which are really noticeable. The bottom parts are covered in red pimply spots with a mixture of in growing hairs and just horrid lumps and bumps.

I used to shave but got fed up of that making the red spots worse so now I have them waxed regularly which is making the ingrowing hairs worse.

I already exfoliate, moisturise and apply fake tan and none of this helps. They just look hideous. Please can someone help me? Are there any wonder products out there to give me smooth, shiny, young legs again?

You need Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs, much better coverage than fake tan. I bought some BB cream for legs but it's not a patch on SH. I'm off to Boots when I get time to get some as I've ran out.

I think I had some of that years ago, I sat on a white chair at a party and left 2 big brown stains Has it improved now?

I use a tube of nair hair removing cream every week on my legs. It's 99p in homebargains.

Shaving and waxing give me awful rashes too.

I'm trailing a superdrug body butter tonight on my knees tonight.

I think I have a similar problem: wax, shave or use removal cream, all ends in red bumps and ingrown hair. it's very annoying and I never found an everyday cure.

Exfoliation and moisturiser don't help, and it looks all red and bumpy.

The best thing I can recommend is laser hair removal. Don't go IPL because it's hit and miss, go for proper laser. 6 to 8 treatments later, no dark hair, no shaving, no ingrown hair and no red bumps.

It's expensive tho, £80 a treatment for knee to toe for me, worth it every day that I put on a skirt or shorts after all these years.

I too have cellulite ( horrifically so!) and I know the only thing to shift it is overhaul diet, more fruit and veg, more water less sugar, exercise and body scrub / cream. I'm always going to start 'next week' when I'm hopefully not so exhausted from dc3 still waking at night at 19mo...

Looks like boots do a cream to minimise in growing hair.

Lubilooloo how many sessions do you need for the hair to be all gone? Sounds amazing and I'd happily try something drastic if it were to improve things.

I exercise loads but maybe my diet isn't the best it could be. I could probably cope if it was just the cellulite to be fair. At nearly 40 my days of baring my thighs, unless on holiday, are probably long gone. It's the knee down which is probably the main issue as I can't and don't wear dresses or skirts.

Fluffy do you find the hair removing cream works well? I tried the in shower one and wasn't impressed and usually they stink!

It's brilliant, I'm dark haired so on pale skin it's really noticeable.

I put half a tube on each leg and give it 10 mins, then shower. If there is any stubble it's gone the next day. I do it Friday night ready for Saturday.

DO NOT WAX! It's a bloody nightmare and my legs have some deep scarring from the I growing hair. I've had them LaserWriter and never looked back, whilst your there get the thread veins lasered. Cellulite, deep deep massage. Theres rollers out there that work well, and agree with others a good tan hides a lot X

I paid £900 for 6 sessions, just a few fine blonde hairs that I notice in the sun, but all spiky black ones home. And agree with above poster, you need a proper laser clinic. ND Yag or Alexandrite, IPL isn't reliable

I can't wet shave or wax for exactly the same reasons, but use an electric razor which gets me smooth enough to leave the house without the ingrown hairs or scales/bleeding rash.
