Hair straightening brushes

Do these work? I want one, but I'm suspicious.

Any brands recommended/to avoid?

I got one a few days ago. I have fine hair but a lot of it and it does work but not as well as proper straighteners do. I've used it on days I want a bit more body in my hair.
