Does anyone use an instant tanner?

I'd like to look bronzed and beautiful tomorrow night, but hate spray tans and am too scared to use proper fake tan myself, in case I wake up looking like a streaky glamour model in the morning!

Has anyone used an instant fake tan, and if so which brands are good? And will it start to rub off half way through the night? Maybe I should just stay pale

I use St Moritz (sp?) mousse, really easy to apply (I use a mitt) and no problems with streaks. Cheap as chips too
