Hurty sandals!

I bought a pair of sandals similar to these towards the end of last Summer, but I only got to wear them once or twice. Ive tried wearing them since we have had this glorious weather, but they rip my toes to shreds. What can I use to stick to the underneath of the front strap? It's smooth under there so I'm not sure why they rub so much!

Are they just a bad fit, too tight across the top of your foot? Or just at slightly the wrong angle for the slope of your foot. To be honest, I'd donate them and find some comfy ones, comfortable shoes are the most important part of any outfit to me! Wear my FitFlops every day at the moment as they're a perfect fit for my deep insteps.

No they're not too tight, I guess the shape just doesn't agree with my toes :(

I wear all my new shoes with socks around the house for a bit. Then i wear them without socks for a short period of time, again around the house to toughen up the bits of skin that hurt. I do this in rotation as i have ridiclously sensitive feet and the only shoes that i own that havent hurt from the first wear are sshhh! Crocs but i am totally unrepentant!

The other option is to buy more expensive shoes in a softer material but i find all shoes hurt my feet. It takes a bit of fore thought and organisation and i start at Easter!

Chiropody sponge is what you need. Cut it to shape, peel off the backing and stick to your shoe where it's rubbing.
You'll find it in most chemists. It's great stuff.

You can get thin gel strips to stick under the strap.
