Shoe advice - guidance please!

Shoe people: please help me. I'm wearing this outfit in a couple of weeks- it's a navy jumpsuit with a sparkly cape thing. I have no idea what shoes to wear with it. They must be flat as I have a back injury, but I really don't know what colour to go for. I keep thinking gold , but is that too, ahem, "matchy matchy"? Please show me the way people, I nearly brought some glittery espadrilles in TK Maxx yesterday, I don't know what I'm doing.

Ah yes, sorry for crappy picture quality, it was a hurried selfie this morning. I can't find the jumpsuit online to link to but will try to capture a better pic later. Was just wondering if there were any set rules one should follow colour wise, such as "no black shoes with navy" etc.
