Acid Exfoliator

Anyone tried one? I don't like 'scrubs' because they don't really work and they make my skin (and hands) a bit sore.

I heard about these new exfoliators with various acids in them but I don't even know what to 'search' for because 'Acid Exfoliator' brings nothing up on the sites I buy from...?

I use Pixi tonic that was about £18 from M&S. I use it morning and night in place of an exfoliator and it's brilliant. A bottle lasts about 6/7 months so it's pretty decent value.

I've heard really good things about Bravura, too, so will try them when my Pixi runs low.

Do you use them on the body or the face? That's what I need, actual names of products :)

I'm using a nip and fab one, was about £9 on offer from superdrug. It's brill so far and has evened out my red patches well.

Face Smile
Superdrug also do their own version, be radiant or something, usually on BOGOF, so at least you've not wasted a lot if you don't get on with it.

I only use the Pixi on my face, and instead of body scrub if I'm feeling a bit in need of exfoliator I use Soap and Glory gloves in the shower; they're pink gloves you exfoliate with, about £5 from Boots, and they leave your skin lovely and smooth.

My skin has never been better since I gave up the exfoliating scrubs.

I would like to try a face one at some point but I'm thinking more of a body product for the back of my legs and arms etc.

Do you just apply & go or wash off? What do you do with it?

Bravura Calendula toner has transformed my skin.

Pixi glow tonic is ok as a starter as its not as strong.

Avon do some acid pads which are also really good but you only need to use them a couple of times a week as you can really feel your skin tingling when you use them.

ChicRock · 05/06/2016 22:39

If you want body pads try Waxperts wonder pads.

I use liquid gold from alpha h, once - twice a week on my face. It is expensive but my current bottle has lasted me for over a year so worth it in my view

I think acid exfoliators are more for your face. If you want something for your body, lush do a nice scrubby soap bar thing that moisturises and exfoliates. It's called 'Buffy' and it's really good for those bumpy bits at the top of your arms.

For your body, Clarins body serum is lovely and really works as an exfoliator. Smaller bottles are sometimes in the gift with purchase deals. Palmers also do a lotion with ahas which is cheaper but has a powerful smell.
