Foundation recommendations please, long stay versions

I go through phases of wearing foundation everyday, the not wearing it for ages, but I've never really found a decent one that stays put. At the moment I'm alternating between Double wear and Lush's pink foundation in a jar, I also use Soap and Glorys primer, and some bare minerals loose powder on top, but I find by lunchtime its all disappeared.
I'm going to be starting a college course soon that requires me to look presentable, which means makeup, and some stay-the-day makeup at that.
Does anyone have any suggestions please? I've not got loads of money to splash about, max £20 on foundation and powder.
I do have the whole bare minerals set but i find that cakes after a while too.
I have quite pale skin, but odd red blotchy patches, an oily nose and T zone, and my face and head seem to sweat quite a bit (I sound gorgeous!!)
Any suggestions please?

I'm a big max factor fan. I particularly love the age perfect with serum, glides on, great coverage and set with creme puff powder stays put all day on me. I've tried foundation in all price brackets and always go back to this one.

Tarte. On QVC. In fact it is the TSV today. Bargain.

I like bourjois healthy mix (not the serum version). Goes on well and lasts on me. I'm on the dry side though so you may need to set it with powder.

Better than Chanel and other more expensive brands. The matching powder and concealer is also superb.

I wear it for work as I have to look good but only get one break. I work twice a week and put it on at approximately 2.00pm and start work at 3.15pm and finish work at midnight or after. During my break at 7.00pm I only have to powder my nose, the foundation and concealer has not budged but depending on your skin colour it gives great coverage but a completely natural look.

I do moisturise ten minutes before applying foundation with a brush.

I also recommend JML magic mineral powder as a great daytime look as its lasting but not so great coverage.

I like double wear light, lasts very long and is not as cakey as the original.

I also recommend the one tate linked. I use that and prefer it to the BareMinerals stuff I've got, which makes me look bizarre in any natural light

Another vote for double wear, it is amazing and lasts all day.
