Mascara that doesn't give me panda eyes

I have bought a gazillion different types of waterproof mascara, but within 30 mins of putting them on, my eyelashes are half way down my face.

What brand will actually stay put? Without breaking the bank?

I never used to wear much make up . But as I am getting older, 44, I feel my eyes need a bit more definition.

I have just received my first tubing mascara ( l'oreal) and it is brilliant! No panda eyes.
