What do we think, specifically these wedges:

A good alternative for summer/holidays, or a throwback to Miami Vice?

Yay. YAY- but these are pretty high... Can you walk in them???? Ps what's wrong with Miami vice?!

LadyAntonella · 03/06/2016 09:29

I know what you mean - I'm never sure about shoes with this sort of sole as I can't decide if they're a bit frumpy. I do have some wedged sandals with a similar sole. I never actually wear them though, as they're really high and still not sure I like them. So on balance, I'd probably say nay (sorry). If they were ridiculously cheap I'd maybe give them a go, but they're not cheap for what they are IMHO.

Nowt wrong with MV. I was always partial to a bit of Don Johnson Grin

Not sure on the height. I think I will order them and see.

No way.. Sorry. I've just always hated them.

MarieJeanne · 03/06/2016 09:51

I like espadrills. Especially Tommy Hilfiger Emery range.

I've just got some from Monsoon in Navy and they have the tie up laces. They seem very comfortable and I'm tempted to get another colour. Not too high either.

I like those but definitely too high for me!

ZaraW · 03/06/2016 16:19

I have Kaanas Marseilles and I love them. Got them in the sale in NY for around 20 quid.

DavetheCat2001 · 03/06/2016 17:10

Do you really think they look high?

Maybe they will be..I'll have to try them on. I'm not great in heels, but wedgies are a bit easier to walk in.

Why not? Love espadrille wedges. The ASOS ones look very high though and a bit clumpy tbh.

Bit rubbish Oasis don't seem to give heel high info.

Personally prefer the ones tied with laces at the ankles like this

These Toni Pons are lower

I would love some plain, flat ones. Has anyone got any good ones?

AstrantiaMallow · 03/06/2016 22:29

H&M have flat ones

Lots of gorgeous ones there but pricey

I can't fault Toms for flat espadrilles . There was a thread very recently om them .

Wellhellothere1 · 04/06/2016 07:59

I bought these yesterday after seeing them in a fashion blog. I'm hoping they will be nice with jeans and a plain tee shirt on a sunny day.

I love them. I have a very similar pair I got from Tesco for about £12 last year.

DavetheCat2001 · 04/06/2016 09:18
