Wet weather summer gesr

Following a wet summer break in Italy where me and my partner had to buy emergency plastic ponchos and I endured soggy feet I am looking for inspiration for future hols!
Woulk like something thin, easily folded into small package but completely waterproof. Preferably kneelength and definately a hood. Something a bit more elegant than a €4 plastic affair! Dont mind paying a bit for something I will get a lot of use out of. Dont mind patterns florals etc
Any good ideas?

Seasalt

I've got the Joules Golightly packaway parka. It's very light and a similar price to the Seasalt one. Only thing I would mention is it's not breathable so even though it will keep you dry, you may get a bit sweaty wearing it especially if it's warm and rainy.

Do rain ponchos exist that are better made and looking than the 5€ jobs?
